About the National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC)

 

The Government of Pakistan established the National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) in 2005.

  • The Commission is mandated to facilitate, regulate, and provide policy direction for vocational education & training to meet national and international demand for a skilled workforce.
  • The Commission will devise policy and evolve a strategy and an enabling environment to the public and private sectors to implement training for skills development to enhance social and economic profile.
  • NAVTTC also works to develop national occupational skills standards, curricula and trade testing certification systems for all sectors in which technical and vocational education and training is necessary for the workforce.

NAVTTC’s Mission

NAVTTC as an autonomous organization established by the government of Pakistan has been mandated to deliver the following:

  • National Policies and Strategies
  • Laws and regulations
  • Certification, Accreditation, Skill Standards & Curricula
  • Instructor training
  • Performance Evaluation Systems
  • National and International linkages
  • Labour Market Information System (LMIS)
  • National Qualification Framework (NQF)
  • Suggest innovative programmes for vocational education & training
  • Vocational education & training development through Public-Private Partnerships
  • Conducting road shows, joint conferences, symposia, visits, workshops and exhibitions
